There is no foot so small that it cannot leave an imprint on this world

Tonight I've been thinking alot about the past few months and as most of you know, D-man and I had a miscarriage late last year. And after completely cutting everybody out and shutting down I thought I could make myself forget. Here is a poem I found tonight that made me really confront how I was feeling after the past and also about the future.

What Makes a Mother? - Author Unknown

I thought of you and closed my eyes and prayed to God today.
I asked, ’What makes a Mother?’ and I know I heard Him say,
A mother has a baby, this we know is true,
But God, can you be a mother when your baby’s not with you?
Yes you can, He replied, with confidence in His voice
I give many women babies, when they leave is not their choice.
Some I send for a lifetime, others for a day
And some I send to feel your womb, but there’s no need to stay.
I just dont understand this Lord, I want my baby here!
He took a breath and cleared His throat and then I saw a tear,
I wish that I could show you what your child is doing today,
If you could see your child smile with the other children and say.
’We go to earth to learn our lessons of love and life and fear,
My mummy loved me oh so much I got to come straight here.
I feel so lucky to have a mum who had so much love for me,
I learned my lessons very quickly, my mummy set me free.
I miss my mummy oh so much, but I visit her each day.
When she goes to sleep, on her pillow’s where I lay,
I stroke her hair and kiss her cheek and whisper in her ear,
Mummy don’t be sad today, I’m your baby and I’m here’.
So you see, my dear sweet one, your children are ok,
Your babies are here in my home, and this is where they’ll stay.
They’ll wait for you with me, until your lesson’s through,
And on the day I call you home they’ll be at the gates for you.
So now you know what makes a mother.
It’s the feeling in your heart,
Its the love you had so much of, right from the very start.
Though some on earth may not realise until their time is done,
Remember all the love you have,
And you ARE a special mum!

Nursery Ideas

We are currently in the process of "Designing" our nursery. It will need to be functional and also can easily be converted from nursery to bedroom so that if and when we move we won't have to re-do the entire room.
I love the pink, chocolate and olive green and yellow look. These are two different rooms but I think they go well together.

Tonight I found projectnursery.com It's full of nursery inspiration and ideas.

I love this one! The detail in it is incredible. From the ceiling to the floor, the whole room was very well thought out. This room was created by http://www.littlecrowninteriors.com/

Tah Dah- Potato Pizza Heaven!

I must say, I am pretty impressed with myself! This pizza turned out AMAZING!! The dough was so fluffy and beautiful and the toppings were amazing!!!!!

The toppings I used was Pontiac potato (uncooked and thinly sliced), Shallots, Sour cream and pizza cheese.
If I make this again I would put crushed garlic in the sour cream when I do the swirl. But other than that INCREDIBLE!!!!!!
What's better is D-man doesn't like Potato on his pizza so I get the whole thing!

Potato Pizza Love

As this is my first post, I had no idea where to start.
Maybe with my glorious creation "Potato pizza" Nom nom...
I am and always will a huge fan of pizza, and I love creating my own dough and toppings.

Here is the recipe for the dough I use from www.taste.com.au

Ingredients

  • 375ml (1 1/2 cups) warm water
  • 2 tsp (7g/1 sachet) dried yeast
  • Pinch of caster sugar
  • 600g (4 cups) plain flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 60ml (1/4 cup) olive oil, plus extra for brushing

    Method

    1. Combine the water, yeast and sugar in a small bowl. Set aside for 5 minutes or until foamy. Combine the flour and salt in a large bowl and make a well in the centre. Add the yeast mixture and oil. Use a round-bladed knife in a cutting motion to mix until the mixture is combined. Use your hands to bring the dough together in the bowl.

    2. Brush a bowl lightly with oil. Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 10 minutes or until smooth and elastic. Place in the prepared bowl and turn to coat in oil. Cover with plastic wrap and set aside in a warm, draught-free place to rise for 30 minutes or until dough doubles in size.

Will post pics as soon as it's cooked AND when i get this flour off my feet :)
